Standing Overhead Barbell Press

  1. Place a barbell at shoulder height and grab it with your hands just outside shoulder-width apart. 

2. Quarter squat underneath the bar and place it on your upper chest with your forearms perpendicular to the ground. This is the starting position.

 

3. Raise the bar vertically by extending your arms over your head and pressing through your palms. 

 

4. Once your arms are fully extended, pause for a moment and lower the bar back to the starting position.
